Roberto Clemente?

Do you take it Roberto Clemente's number should be retired by MLB? Is this a legitimate proposition? Could it be considered pandering to an ever-growing Latino baseball natives/fanbase? What are your thoughts?


Clemente not only brought upon to his heritage by being probably the best Latin American player ever, but he was also an exemplary human being and humanitarian. He was the first Latino in the HOF and had a very noted career, but why should all of baseball retire his number? There were others that wore "21" that were also pretty clever and to start a trend of retiring numbers for the greatest of the greats is wrong. Let those in Pittsburgh remember him with his representation, PNC Park's Clemente Wall, the Clemente Bridge and his retired number. Other teams should do the same for their Greatest!
