Why are Kelloggs 3-D baseball cards not popular for collecting?
The cards came in cereal boxes in the 70's and continued for many years. There are not many cards in an absolute years set. I was wondering why they do not seem to show alot of interest from collectors as I have seen in eBay! I would have to think that there was a limited number of them made at that dated and you just don't seem to see them that much anywhere. I was interested in getting a few would I be throwing my money away?
They're expert and all, but are pretty much just a gimmicky type of collectible. They are not that rare and just don't have the value of the traditional index card sets.
You would not be throwing your $ away if you like the cards. they may not be investment pieces, but some of my favorite cards are "worthless" to others. I summon up stuff that a lot of others do not, just for fun and the fact that I can get them pretty cheap, like you could w/ these.
i personally like the "oddball" collections and sets, so accumulate what you want as a hobby and buy investment cards as well if you have the cash.
