Searching for the Perfect Sports-Themed Wedding Cake
When I set the companion for my wedding almost 2 years ago, I figured I had plenty of time to search for the perfect everything.
I figured one of the easier tasks would be looking for a compounding cake. I want a nice "girly cake" and also 4 cakes (that are small) that represent the favorite sports teams of my fiance and I.
Hardly ever did I know, looking for the perfect wedding cake is no easy task will take much longer than I anticipated. My favorite 2 teams are the Jacksonville Jaguars and Boston Red Sox. I recall I want Fenway Park to represent the Sox but the Jags cake I'm still undecided. Dan (my fiance) would like for the Boston Gardens (Bruins) and old Tiger Coliseum (Detroit).
From doing some brief research on the internet, some of the cakes are so incredible that I'm not even sure about my determination to get a stadium cake.
With a little over 7 months to go (5/15/09) I definitely have my work cut out for me as far as choosing the sports cakes among every other details that have to be addressed. Below are some excellent sports cakes I found on Flickr. But not exactly what I want yet....
