What should I do with old basketball cards, hundreds of them?
I am looking for something to do with my old basketball cards, I have a lot of them. Count fully it is something profitable, and I have tried Ebay, that's much too expensive to start with, and time-consuming for a person as Baroque as I am. Anything else that I can maximize the good done with them(as opposed to throwing them out) and perhaps make some money as well?
I would hint at finding a good light-proof, airtight container (old cake-tin or something) sticking them all in it with a pouch of silica gel (sparse package of beads you sometimes find in boxes with electronic items) to keep moisture out and simply archive them where they wont be abandoned or completely forgotten. They may be worth nothing now, but perhaps by the time your children or grandchildren are ready to go to college they may pay for it.
Remember, it only takes ONE credit card to become really collectable to make it worth-while. When it comes time to sell, be sure to do a little scrutinize and get MULTIPLE valuations, you dont want a collector to give you $100 for the lot when it contains twenty cards worth $5,000 each.
